Vintage Gibson Bass Restoration

I inherited a vintage Gibson Bass from my grandfather, and with my 3D modeling skills, I set out to make it playable again. The first task was designing a new bridge since the original one was bending beyond usability. I aimed to create a part that was more adjustable while keeping the classic style intact. After modeling the bridge to fit some third-party saddles, I also tackled smaller repairs like cracked pickup covers, volume/tone knobs, and the truss rod cover. The bass still needs fret work and a full intonation setup, but I’m passionate about restoration and can’t wait to hear it play again soon.
